Tarot by email is an excellent way to have a reading. I realise it seems odd to some and it was strange to me initially too, but the fact is it really isn’t necessary to be sat with the reader. There are ways of selecting cards for the client. They can be shuffled and then cards taken from the deck on behalf of the client or they can be shuffled and then the client can select numbers via email and those cards are then taken from the deck. Email readings have a quick turn around and there are no appointments to be made. I try to reply within a few hours (although please remember the time difference if you are not in the UK) and also remember that there are busy times.
Usually people have a specific question in mind. Clients seek out answers from tarot when they need clarification. Situations vary but questions can be about relationships, house move, change of job, promotion or just wanting to know if things will move on from where you currently find yourself.
Once payment is received from a client, I will reply to confirm the payment and may need to ask some basic information if it has not been given when purchasing the reading. There is an option to give this information when paying and you will be prompted to do so. A little information about the client will give a clearer and more accurate reading.
I use the Rider Waite tarot deck which will be cleansed ready for your reading. Before doing the reading, I will light a candle and focus only on you and your questions in a calm and peaceful room. The cards will be shuffled and then split into three piles before putting them back as a pack and then drawing your cards from the top. This is done in a honest way and the cards will not be changed. If you prefer, as mentioned above, you can choose the cards by selecting numbers from 1 – 78.
A one card reading will give a quick reading for one question asked. Simple! Please see below for a sample reading. I selected this card randomly from the deck for this one card reading and I really wish it hadn’t been the Death card as it always worries people! I do not change cards though, even if it IS only for a sample reading.
It can be quite scary when you see the death card selected, but please do not worry as it doesn’t mean the death of anyone close to you. It actually means there will be a change in your life, this can be a minor thing but more often than not, it can mean that you need to make difficult decisions in your relationship. It signifies that you need to let go of something that is currently an unhealthy attachment. The death card is actually a positive card. A new start is around the corner. One door closes and another door opens. Think hard about the situation because it could also mean the death of a phase in a relationship that has been difficult to deal with will soon be over but not necessarily that the relationship is completely over. It certainly appears that you will have a fair bit of upheaval to sort out but every change welcomes a new beginning.
A three card reading of past, present and future is more detailed and will give more of an insight. Please be aware that Tarot cards do not predict the future as such. They predict what is likely to happen given your current set of circumstances. It is up to us as individuals to decide which path we choose to take.
A sample three card reading is shown below.
Ten of Cups has been drawn for your past card. This would indicate that everything was rosy in your garden growing up. As a child you had a happy childhood and you were brought up in a very happy and stable environment. This has given you a strong foundation in life. Regardless of what the other cards in this spread may tell you, your upbringing means that you are strong enough to weather any storms that could lie ahead of you. It can also mean the more present past has been a happy, you may have met your soulmate.
Queen of Swords has been drawn for your Present. You are a very confident and independent person and you are not afraid to speak the truth. This might be because a partner was not kind to you in the past and it has made you the stronger person you are today. It could of course be that you are the person you are today because of the childhood upbringing and support you had. The Queen of Swords in a present position can indicate a strong female around you. She is a powerful woman and can be completely trusted to have your best interests at heart. Listen to what she has to say. (Tarot cards are gender neutral so this could just as easily be referring to a strong man).
The Eight of Cups has been drawn for your Future. You may well be feeling a bit worn out and weary at the moment. It could be time to move on to pastures new. You will need to try out new things even though they may not go to plan initially. Eight of cups can indicate a new path opening up so you need to follow that path. You will need to spend time exploring what will bring you happiness. If you have been considering a new job, it might be a good time to pursue it, there could be a house move involved. The eight of cups means change, this can come in a lot of different forms, it can be change to a job, relationship or relocation. There is a lot going on in your life at the moment and you need to give some thought to it all before you decide which road you are going to take and are able to move on.
A nine card reading is similar to the three card reading as it is based on the past, present and future but this reading is for 9 cards, 3 in each section. It’s a more complex and informed spread.
I feel that these three spreads are ideal for email readings.
A photograph of your cards will be sent to you by email along with your reading. You can of course ask for clarification of anything you are unsure about.
